1 - collect dirty and oxidized coins, preferably by finding lost ones on streets, sidewalks, parks, beaches etc.

2 - using a metal cleaner, sodium bicarbonate, a cotton bud, a painting brush n.00, a soft toothbrush, a toothpick and toilet paper, carefully clean only a selected portion of the coin: this might require patience and precision.
the use of magnifying goggles is strongly recommended.

3 - while you clean the metal, you can take the time to reflect upon:
-
the concept of value
-
the intrinsic VS the extrinsic value of legal tender
-
the intrinsic VS the extrinsic value of art

4 - in case removing the sediment of time from the metal takes more time than expected,
you can take the time to reflect upon the passage of time

5 - once you are pleased with the result, you can decide to preserve the cleaned surface by applying a coat of varnish
6 - put the coins back into circulation by giving them to charity or by leaving them in public places

7 - do not buy anything using these coins

8 - repeat this operation in different countries, do as many coins as you can.

if one day a coin finds its way back into your life,
it means it’s time for you to read Carl Gustav Jung's thoughts on Synchronicity .

coins that have been cleaned together and create patterns when combined,
are to be considered as entangled pairs and are meant to meet again, one day.
